List goes on.

If you do not see difference between Linux and OpenSolaris, I wonder why Sun intentionally holds back Solaris - their commercial offering.Ihar Filipauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05086565400407007423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28654195.post-37410182124575008642009-07-18T03:42:03.023-07:002009-07-18T03:42:03.023-07:00"Please, moderate your comments"

Rhetorical question: what's the point of criticizing something you don't use?"

If you are saying that there is a difference between commercial Solaris 10 (which I unfortunately have to use sometimes) and OpenSolaris - then I'm very glad to hear it.

That means there is a chance that they would fix the mess they made out of Solaris.

Probably they would also throw away they /bin/vi junk and finally replace it with a text editor, e.g. one which actually supports keyboard.Ihar Filipauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05086565400407007423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28654195.post-23334581099540284382009-07-18T03:27:58.875-07:002009-07-18T03:27:58.875-07:00Using (open)solaris since 2006 as main desktop... ...Using (open)solaris since 2006 as main desktop... I never had problem with syntax coloring nor keyboard and no major difference with Debian or *BSD (nothing that can't be solved within 2 minutes). When it comes to Solaris, some users seem a bit biased.

Please, moderate your comments when you're not sure of the validity of your claims.
